In this case report, we document the hair restoration process for a patient who required a comprehensive treatment starting from a conservatively designed hairline extending to the crown. This approach was necessary to achieve a natural and age-appropriate result, reflecting the patient’s desire for a subtle yet effective enhancement.

Total Grafts Implanted: The treatment involved the precise placement of 3,400 grafts.

Areas Addressed: The focus was on creating a natural-looking hairline and filling in the entire area from this new hairline through to the crown, effectively covering zones of noticeable thinning.

Method Employed: The technique utilized for this procedure was Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) with a Sapphire blade. This method is preferred for its precision and the minimal recovery time it requires, which is particularly beneficial for ensuring a smooth and rapid post-operative phase.

Progress Over Time: The patient’s hair restoration journey was observed over several months, with significant improvements noted in hair density and coverage.

The patient, concerned about a receding hairline and thinning at the crown, opted for a restoration strategy that would not dramatically alter his appearance but would restore a fuller, more youthful hair presentation. The conservative hairline was strategically planned to blend naturally with his existing hair, ensuring that the restoration would not only look natural immediately following the procedure but would also age well over time.

 

The implantation process involved distributing the 3,400 grafts evenly from the frontal area to the crown, meticulously filling in all areas of hair loss to ensure a uniform density throughout.
